This kitchen was just recently photographed by Women's Day Magazine and will appear in the Fall 07 issue of "Remodeling and Makeovers.It will be on the cover of the magazine!!! There will be a before picture showing a 1950's kitchen that was really ready for a makeover. We increased the original space by removing some walls and adding larger openings to help the floor plan of house flow. Homeowner is very happy with results!Brookhaven cabinets. This kitchen with Cherry raised panel cabinets has many unique features. Two such features are: The counter tops are 2 1/4" thick. The ceiling has a skylight with recessed lighting and a trough boarder.Brookhaven cabinets.

Kitchen Design philosophy

My philosophy about designing a kitchen is right in with the old adage" form follows function" Every kitchen I design has to be practical. Yes the aesthetics are important but the function is what you use everyday. I start designing a kitchen by asking a series of questions. I need to know what can or can not be done. What space do we have to work with. Does the budget allow finding more space. Is there room available outside the foot print of the house or can we take a wall down. Once the space we have to work with is determined, we then go to the look of the kitchen.
