Stainless steel appliances and uplighted crown

This kitchen has very masculine overtones with a lot of stainless steel. Good thing as client is male and quite a cook. Notice height of warming drawer. Right under microwave.Brookhaven cabinets. GHI contractor.

Kitchen Design philosophy

My philosophy about designing a kitchen is right in with the old adage" form follows function" Every kitchen I design has to be practical. Yes the aesthetics are important but the function is what you use everyday. I start designing a kitchen by asking a series of questions. I need to know what can or can not be done. What space do we have to work with. Does the budget allow finding more space. Is there room available outside the foot print of the house or can we take a wall down. Once the space we have to work with is determined, we then go to the look of the kitchen.
